Assoc. Prof. Anton Tonev, MD

Assoc. Prof. Tonev, MD graduated from Varna Medical University in 2008. He acquired his specialty in Surgery in 2014. He obtained the educational and scientific degree “Doctor” with a dissertation on the topic: A complex approach for detection, staging and endoscopic radical treatment of rectal adenomas and early adenocarcinomas.

· Robotic surgery with robot “Da Vinci” in malignant and benign diseases of GIT;

· Mini-invasive methods of treatment of gallstone disease of the gallbladder and biliary tract -Europe and the USA;

· Laparoscopic and visceral surgery in Augsburg, Germany;

· Endoscopic and mini-invasive surgery in Frankfurt, Germany;

· Endorectal mini-invasive diagnostics and surgery in Seoul, South Korea;

· Rectal microsurgery in Fort Lauderdale, USA;

· Mini-invasive and endoscopic surgery of the hepatobiliary system in Amsterdam, the Netherlands;

· Echo-endoscopyin Paris, France.

After his graduation, Assoc. Prof. Tonev, MD started working at UMBAL St. Marina, Varna. He won competitions for assistant and associate professor at the Department of General and Operative Surgery at the Medical University of Varna. He worked at MC Black Sea. He is the author of 198 scientific articles and communications in the country and abroad and is a member of a number of Bulgarian and international scientific and genital surgical organizations. He currently operates at the Hospital Eurohospital, has a small practice and is part of the team of specialists of MC Haelan Varna.
