Graduated from Sofia Medical University in 2013. He acquired his specialty Infectious Diseases in 2019 after specialization at SBALIPB Prof. Yves. Kirov. Since 2023 he is a specialist in Clinical Virology at the NCCB Sofia. Acquired educational and scientific degree “Doctor” in 2018 after defending a dissertation on the topic: Etiology, clinical course, diagnostic approaches and treatment of acute CNS infections of viral and bacterial etiology.
- Member of the Bulgarian Medical Association and the Bulgarian Society of Infectious Diseases;
- Numerous participation in Bulgarian and international congresses and symposia on infectious diseases and clinical virology.
Biography
Dr. Valkov works successively in the Department of Airborne, Roof, Transmission and Neuroinfections, as well as in the Department for Diagnosis and Treatment of Patients with COVID-19 at SBALIPB Prof. Ivan Kirov Sofia since the beginning of the pandemic. He is a Senior Assistant at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Parasitology and Tropical Medicine of the Medical University of Sofia. He is currently part of the team of specialists of MC Haylan Care 3.
He is fluent in German.
