D-r Plamen Dunev
Dr. Plamen Dunev is a specialist cardiologist and the only specialist clinical lipidologist in Ballaria, certified by the National Lipid Association, USA. Carries out the treatment of diseases - arterial hypertension, heart failure, ischemic disease, rhythm disturbances, cholesterol metabolism disorders, hereditary lipid metabolism disorders, preventive cardiology, vascular pathology, chronic arterial insufficiency. He has participated in a number of clinical studies. Co-author of articles on the specialty in Bulgarian and foreign journals. Lecturer at scientific congresses.
Dr. Dunev does not examine children.
Education and qualifications
Graduated with excellent success from MU-Plovdiv. He studied Cardiology at MU-Sofia. Since 2022, he is the only doctor in Bulgaria with an acquired specialty in clinical lipidology, certified by the American Board Exam and accredited by the National Lipid Association, USA. Since 2022, he is a Master in Health Management. He holds a license in interventional cardiology, electrocardiostimulation, echocardiography and ultrasound vascular diagnostics. He has conducted a number of trainings in university clinics in Austria. From 2018 to 2020 he is a full-time assistant at the Department of Internal Medicine at MU-Sofia

- Programming courses for pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT);
- Lipid metabolism and cardiovascular risk courses. Awards for academic excellence and clinical cases;
- Member of the Bulgarian Medical Association, Bulgarian Society of Cardiology, Association of Electrocardiostimulation and Electrophysiology, European Rhythm Association, European Society of Cardiology, Central European Diabetes Association;
- Participation in numerous national and international congresses and seminars in the specialty.
Biography
From 2013 to 2015, Dr. Dunev worked at the National Cardiology Hospital Sofia. From 2015 to 2020 he practiced at the University Hospital Aleksandrovska Sofia. From 2018 to 2020 he is an assistant and teaches medical students and junior doctors at the Medical University of Sofia. He practiced at MDC Preventika Sofia. He is currently part of the team of specialists of MDC Haylan Care 2.
